Yesterday, the director of the Fernández-Vega Foundation received a plaque from the group in Asturias that supports the work of Madre Covadonga in Peru. The plaque expresses the recognition of this institution for the work carried out by its ophthalmological team that travelled to America, and specifically to the town of Ayacucho. Over nine days, comprehensive eye care was provided to hundreds of people with difficulties and / or at risk of exclusion.
The Fernández-Vega Foundation now has a vehicle for social and health work thanks to the contribution of Obra Social Caja Madrid. The Foundation can now deliver ophthalmological treatment to people or groups with both economic and mobility difficulties.
